What should you do if your property sale has slowed down?

If you have had your house on the market for a couple of months, you may be starting to wonder why it hasn’t yet sold. But don’t be disheartened, read on to find out what you can do to get back on track and get your home under offer.
Deciding to sell your home can be a huge decision, one that can often be years in the making. Having committed to the move, you may be dreaming of your new home, looking online for inspiration and beginning to view houses. However, you may be left feeling frustrated if, after a few months, your home has still not sold. You may begin to lose enthusiasm after deep cleaning your home yet again ahead of another viewing that goes nowhere, with no feedback. But all hope is not lost, there are things you can do to put your home back in the spotlight.

The most obvious step would be to look at the price. It may have been mentioned by your agent already, or it could be that buyers have had feedback about it too. Or perhaps you are getting offers much lower than your asking price? By reducing the price this will move your property into a new price bracket, meaning it will be broadcast to a new audience of buyers who perhaps haven’t seen your property before.

But if price isn’t the answer, what else can you do? It could be time to try a new approach and time to find a new agent. Instructing a new estate agent with renewed enthusiasm for your home could be what it takes to secure a successful sale.

Every home is unique and every home deserves a bespoke approach to marketing. Find out what the feedback has been from your viewings so far and pass this onto your new agent, as this can help them form a new marketing strategy and a fresh approach to finding a buyer.

At By Design we do things differently, offering a bespoke, innovative and unique approach to marketing your home. So, why not get in contact with your local By Design agent today to see how we can help get the sale of your home back on track.
